Delete Your Account

Any Chereta account — created on the website or in the Android app — can be deleted permanently. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to your data.

How to delete your account

• In the app: open the Chereta Android app, go to Account → Delete account, confirm with your password, and confirm a second time. Your account is deleted immediately.
• By email: if you can't access the app, email info@chereta.com from the email address registered on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request came from the registered address and process it within a few business days.

What gets removed

Deleting your account removes:

• Your email address, username, and password
• Your saved tenders
• Your alert preferences (categories, regions, and keywords)
• Any active login sessions, "remember me" tokens, and pending password-reset or activation links

Your account can no longer be signed into after deletion, and your email and username become available for someone else to register with.

What is retained, and why

If your account ever had a paid subscription, we keep the underlying payment record (amount, date, and payment method) for our own accounting and tax records. That record is not personally identifying once your account is deleted — your name, email, username, and password are gone, so the retained record cannot be traced back to you or used to sign in. It is kept indefinitely, purely as a financial record, in line with standard bookkeeping practice. Tender listings themselves are never tied to your identity and are unaffected by account deletion.

How long it takes

Deletion requested in the app takes effect immediately. Deletion requested by email is processed within a few business days of verifying the request.
