OPEN TENDER ANNOUNCEMENT External Learning Study / Learning Paper SPREAD Project (Peace and Resilience)Tender ref no: - NOT/2026/009 DanChurchAid (DCA) is a Danish international non-governmental organization (NGO) providing humanitarian assistance and long-term development support to poor and marginalized communities worldwide. DCA began its operations in Ethiopia in the mid-1970s and has since supported food- insecure and crisis-affected populations through both emergency relief and development programming. Its interventions are implemented either directly or in partnership with local and national organizations, with particular attention to refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and host communities. The SPREAD project runs from February 2024 to January 2027 and seeks to enhance the effectiveness of conflict prevention, disaster risk reduction, resilience-building, and natural resource management among cross-border communities. The project is implemented by DCA in partnership with relevant consortium and local partners across the three countries. In Ethiopia, the project focuses mainly on communities in Dassenech and Nyangatom woredas of South Omo Zone, where pastoralist and agro-pastoralist communities are highly exposed to climate-related shocks, resource-based conflict, and livelihood vulnerability.
