Introduction Pharo Foundation (“the Foundation”) is a mission-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to designing, funding, and operating economic development programmes to realise its vision of a vibrant, productive, and self-reliant Africa. In line with our operational requirements, the Pharo Foundation hereby invites eligible and qualified legal service providers to submit sealed bids for the provision of professional legal services to facilitate the liquidation of Shagga Farm. This procurement process will be conducted in accordance with the Foundation’s core principles of transparency, fairness, competition, and value for money, as well as all applicable laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. 2. Scope of Required Legal Services The selected legal firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal services to manage the end-to-end liquidation process. The Foundation requires a strategic partner to navigate the regulatory landscape and manage all associated third parties. Key tasks include, but are not limited to: Governance & Representation: Preparation of a Power of Attorney authorizing the firm to act on behalf of the Foundation in the liquidation. Regulatory Clearance: Conducting clearance procedures with the Ethiopian Customs Commission for all equipment imported duty-free. This includes verification of all documentation related to these assets. Third-Party Management: Liaising with and supervising the appointed transiter and valuator to ensure accurate asset handling and customs documentation verification.
