Introduction and Background Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia PLC is implementing a Tower Management System (TMS) to support the long-term integrity, safety, and reliability of its telecommunications tower infrastructure. As part of this initiative, Safaricom intends to engage experienced and qualified suppliers capable of conducting tower audits, structural assessments, engineering analysis, and execution of strengthening and maintenance works on existing telecommunications towers. This Expression of Interest (EOI) seeks to identify competent suppliers with proven expertise in telecom tower engineering. Detailed requirements will be shared during the subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) stage with shortlisted bidders. 2. The EOI Interested suppliers should demonstrate capability to provide the following services. a) Tower Audit and Inspection Detailed inspection of tower structures, foundations, and mounted equipment. Collection of engineering measurements, photographs, and inspection data. Digital capture and submission of inspection records through Safaricom's Tower Management System. b) Engineering Assessment Preparation of detailed audit reports. Structural analysis using recognized tower analysis software. Development of engineering recommendations and maintenance plans. Preparation of strengthening methodologies where required. c) Tower Strengthening and Maintenance Execution of tower and foundation strengthening works. Replacement or repair of structural members and accessories. Corrosion treatment and preventive maintenance. Safe execution on live telecommunications tower infrastructure. 3.
