Invitation for Consultancy Services Organization: Solar Village Ethiopia (SVE) Project Title: Farmer Impact Assessment Type of Solicitation: Consultancy Services Submission Deadline: Within 5 consecutive working days from the date of this announcement. Project Duration: Until May 30, 2026 Duty Stations: East Shewa Zone (Lume, Gumbichu, Ada’a Woredas) and Arsi Zone (Hitosa Woreda), Oromia Region 1. Background Solar Village Ethiopia (SVE), in partnership with RTI International, is implementing the project Enhancing Access to Production Technologies and Inputs to Improve Food Security in the Oromia Region. The project seeks to improve the productivity and resilience of smallholder farmers through the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices and green technologies, particularly solar-powered irrigation systems. As part of its implementation, SVE intends to conduct a comprehensive Farmer Impact Assessment to generate evidence on project performance and outcomes. The assessment will consolidate data on focal farmers, evaluate market responses to SVE-supported products, and analyze the overall effectiveness of interventions. Key intervention areas and implementation by project focus include solar-powered water pumps distribution and installation, adoption of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), productivity and provisioning of improved seeds and avocado seedlings, supports of agro dealers and seedling producers. 2. Objectives of the Assignment 2.1. General Objectives The overall objective of this assignment is to assess and document the impact of SVE project interventions on smallholder farmers, with a particular focus on productivity, income, adoption of green technologies, environmental outcomes, and market engagement. 2.2.
