Description
CALL FOR DATA COLLECTORS National Mapping and Categorisation of Civil Society OrganisationsWorking on Transitional Justice in Ethiopia The African Center for Transitions Studies (ACT), in partnership with the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and the Transitional Justice Consortium-Ethiopia (TJC-E), invites qualified individuals to apply as Data Collectors for the nationwide mapping and categorisation of civil society organisations (CSOs) working on transitional justice in Ethiopia. The mapping exercise seeks to identify CSOs engaged in Ethiopia's transitional justice process, assess their thematic and geographic areas of work, and categorise their activities under the five pillars of the transitional justice process: Truth-Seeking, Accountability, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Reparations, and Institutional Reform. ACT intends to recruit six (6) Data Collectors to support data collection across Ethiopia. Each Data Collector will preferably cover two geographically adjacent regions, taking into consideration language competence, familiarity with the local context, accessibility, and the geographic distribution of CSOs. The Data Collectors will work under the guidance of the Lead Consultants and ACT and will engage directly with CSOs to administer organisational questionnaires, conduct interviews and consultations, verify relevant information, and support the collection of reliable data for the national mapping exercise. Applicants with previous research or data-collection experience, familiarity with Ethiopia's civil society landscape, knowledge of transitional justice or related fields, and proficiency in the relevant local languages are particularly encouraged to apply. Interested applicants should review the attached Call for Applications/Terms of Reference for detailed information on the assignment, qualifications, responsibilities, geographic coverage, deliverables, and application requirements. Applications should be submitted electron
